Snowshoeing tour at a time of your choice
Come enjoy the winter beauty of nature and get out in nature on a guided snowshoeing trip to the terrain of the old railway tunnel of Pönttövuori and at the same time admire theto see the magnificent ice falls in front of the tunnel.
Sliding snowshoes are like skis, but they are attached to your own boots. They are wider and slightly shorter than basic skis. They also have a fur sole, which provides good grip. They hold up well on snow and are comfortable and easy to slide through the snowdrifts.
You don't need to have any previous experience of snowshoeing for this trip. You'll be fine with basic fitness. The route is easy to follow. You'll be provided with snowshoes and poles for the trip. You can also participate with your own equipment.
For the trip, you will need a backpack with a small snack and a warm drink, a jacket and a seat pad for a short break that will be taken in front of the tunnel entrance.
Arrival to the trip is by car/carpool. The departure point is located near the pet on Route 9., about 20km from Jyväskylä in the direction of Kuopio.
The price of the tour is 50e/person.

If a very cold day is expected, the event will be postponed to another time. The frost limit for the event is -20°C. The organizer has the right to cancel the event at short notice due to severe weather conditions or acute illness. Minimum number of participants 4 people, maximum 10 people.
The minimum age for events is 12 years.
Participants are not insured by the organizer, participation is at your own risk. It is a good idea to have your own accident insurance.
Registration is binding and must be completed no later than 24 hours before the event starts. All information will be treated confidentially and will only be used for this event.
